Office Policies

Email Communication:

The ChARM patient portal, accessible to all existing clients, offers email correspondence with Dr. Becca. This is available for quick clarification of previously recommended therapies. Dr. Becca will not offer any new advice via email and suggests that you schedule a follow-up appointment to address new concerns. Dr. Becca may also recommend you schedule a follow-up if replies require more than 10 minutes of her time.

Payment Policy:

Dr. Becca Nicholson, ND is a cash-based office and payment is expected at the time of service. Payment methods include cash, check, and all major credit cards. Due to the lack of licensure for naturopathic doctors in the state of Indiana we are unable to accept insurance at this time. However, supplements and office visits may be covered with health savings accounts (HSA) or flexible spending accounts (FSA). We are happy to provide supplement receipts for client to submit to their insurance providers for reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider for more specific information.

Cancellation Policy:

We require a 48-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If an appointment is changed with less than a 48-hour notice, clients will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. If you do not call to cancel your appointment and do not show up, you will be charged the full price of the visit. Please call 260.207.4137 to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Treating Family Members:

Please note that Dr. Becca cannot offer any medical advice for anyone that is not an established client. If you have questions regarding the care of a family member or friend, please have them schedule a new client appointment with Dr. Becca.

Lab Results:

Lab results are available for viewing on the ChARM patient portal only after Dr. Becca has discussed them with you. In most cases, Dr. Becca will require a follow-up visit for lab review, which will allow ample time to explain interpretation of results and provide a plan to address any abnormal results. Rarely, Dr. Becca will make an exception to this policy for normal results that do not require interpretation or treatment, and will offer a free phone call (less than 5 minutes) to report results.

Managing Your Healthcare Team:

Dr. Becca believes that anyone can benefit from having a healthcare team and encourages communication between providers. Upon request and with your consent, Dr. Becca can share lab results, wellness plans, and chart notes, and discuss your case with your other providers. Dr. Becca will also complete any necessary referrals to specialists when indicated. Due to the lack of licenser for naturopathic doctors in Indiana, Dr. Becca cannot be your primary care provider (PCP). It is required that you continue care with your PCP for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
